Two, including cop, die after bull attack at Tamil Nadu’s Manjuvirattu

By Pramod Madhav: A Tamil Nadu police constable on duty and a spectator were gored to death after a bull attack during Manjuvirattu at Kallur village. The event was a part of the Ariyanayagi Amman temple festival.

The police officer, identified as Navaneedha Krishnan, was trying to help the spectator who was injured when he was attacked by the bull. Subramanian, a spectator, was also gored to death.

Nearly 400 bulls from Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Madurai, Dindigul and Trichy participated in the Manjuvirattu event, where the deceased was deployed to guard a crowd of nearly 6,000 spectators.

Navaneedha Krishnan of the Meemisal Police Station was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to the injury.
