Why is BJP sending people from Goa to Karnataka? Congress raises concern as Karnataka votes

[ad_1]

By India Today News Desk: Hours ahead of voting in Karnataka, the Congress sounded an alarm alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was sending people from Goa to Karnataka. Sharing a video of a bus, the Congress asked whether illicit money was being transported, or the objective was bogus voting in the state.

“Why is the Goa BJP govt sending people from Goa on Kadamba Transport Corporation buses to northern Karnataka tonight? Why??? Is illicit money being transported? Is bogus voting the objective?” the Congress wrote on its official Twitter handle.

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera said that people from Goa were allegedly ferried to Karnataka ahead of PM Modi’s rally.

The BJP is looking to script history to retain its southern citadel while a combative Congress is eyeing a comeback after the end of a high-octane campaign that was marked by a plummeting level of public discourse and which grew increasingly shrill over the Bajrang Dal issue. The voting for 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm.
