By India Today News Desk: A tea seller in Gujarat’s Surat has come up with a unique offer for customers who show a ticket of the movie ‘The Kerala Story.’ The owner of ‘Kesaraiya Tea Shop’ in Vesu area of Surat has put up a poster with the image of the movie and the message that customers who come to watch the movie will get free tea and coffee.
“If customers show their movie ticket at the tea shop, they will receive complimentary tea and coffee. The offer is valid till May 15, 2023”, the poster read.
KERALA STORY CONTROVERSY
The movie ‘The Kerala Story’ has been a topic of discussion in the country, with politics being involved around the movie’s storyline. While some BJP-led states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh have made the movie tax-free, other states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu have banned it.
The movie courted controversy immediately after the teaser was released in November 2022.
