By India Today News Desk: A Kerala man found himself in a difficult position after his wife received photographs of him from the Motor Vehicle Department regarding violation of a road safety rules. But it wasn’t the violation that irked the wife — it was the fact that the man was seen travelling with a woman in the photos.
Safety cameras, installed on roads in Kerala, had clicked photos of the man travelling on a scooter without a helmet on April 25.
Since the scooter was registered under his wife’s name, she received the details of the violation along with the photos and details of the fine that was to be paid.
The wife questioned the husband about the woman travelling with him as seen in the photographs. The 32-year-old said that he had no relationship with the woman and had simply given her a lift, reported news agency PTI.

This led to an argument between the couple as the wife refused to believe her husband’s explanation.
On May 5, the wife filed a complaint at the Karamana police station, accusing her husband of manhandling her and their three-year-old child.
“He was taken into custody based on her statement. An arrest was recorded under IPC 321 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 294 (obscene acts) and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act (assault or neglect of child),” a police officer told PTI.
The man was produced before a court, which remanded him in judicial custody later, he added.
