By Dipesh D. Tripathi: The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday slammed the 11-month-old Eknath Shinde-led government in the state ‘illegal’ and said that the recent Supreme Court’s vedict on Maharashtra political crisis was in MVA’s favour.
While speaking to reporters after key meeting of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s residence in Mumbai, Raut said, “If there was 40 per cent corruption in Karnataka, there is 100 per cent corruption in Maharashtra, this current government is corrupt and it will get defeated”.
When asked about topics of discussion in the meeting, the Rajya Sabha member, a close aide of Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray said that the alliance will discuss about seat sharing formulae in the days to come.
“Not only Congress but the entire opposition of the country has emerged victorious in Karnataka,” Sanjay Raut said, adding that MVA will win in Maharashtra just like the grand old party did in Karnataka.
