By Kamaljit Kaur Sandhu: A passenger on an Indigo flight was arrested for allegedly molesting a female crew member.
The accused, identified as Rajinder Singh, was flying from Dubai to Amritsar on flight number 6E 1428. He was arrested immediately on landing at the Amritsar airport around 8 pm on Sunday.
The apprehended passenger, a resident of Kotli village in Punjab’s Jalandhar, allegedly consumed a high amount of alchohol on the flight. In an inebriated state, he misbehaved with a female crew member.

The situation was handled by the staff on the flight at the time. The security manager took the issue up with the police after landing. Police took the accused into custody and are investigating the incident.
Incidents of objectionable behaviour by passengers travelling by air have become common in the past few months.
Last month, an Indian man on a New York-New Delhi American Airlines flight, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, urinated on another passenger during an argument.
In a similar case that drew limelight in November last year, a man, Shankar Mishra, was accused of urinating on an old woman, while he was allegedly in an intoxicated state on an Air India flight. He was arrested and later granted bail.
