By Sagay Raj: Karnataka Chief Minister hopeful DK Shivakumar has cancelled his Delhi visit hours after announcing that he and Siddaramaiah have been called by the Congress high command. “I’ve a stomach infection and will not be travelling to Delhi today,” he told news agency ANI.

“There are 135 Congress MLAs. I don’t have any MLAs. I’ve left the decision to the party high command,” Shivakumar said on Monday.

Earlier in the day, the Congress leader, at a media briefing, said he would go to Delhi after attending a private programme. “I will finish my private program and visit my god and then go to Delhi,” he said, adding, “Our high command had called me and Kharge, I’m late. I just want to communicate to all media friends since you have wished me. I’ll go to Delhi in whichever flight is available.”

At the press conference, Shivakumar reiterated how he has delivered Karnataka to the party.

“Yesterday, 135 MLAs have given their opinion and passed a one-line resolution. Few have expressed their personal opinions. My power is the 135 MLAs. Under my leadership, the Congress won 135 seats,” he said.

“I believe in one thing: a single man with courage makes majority. I don’t want to talk about what has happened in the last five years. I assured Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge that my aim is to deliver Karnataka to the Congress,” Shivakumar said.
