By Abdul Basheer: Telangana Youth Congress claimed that the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes Police has raided their control room office and seized their laptops and other documents.
The Congress said that the war room was searched for an hour by two men in civilian clothing who identified themselves as sub-inspectors and claimed to have offices beside Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium.
“Yesterday night, around 10 pm, the Youth Congress Control room office was raided by the police. It is not known if they were from the police department or were Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)party’s goons. After our party’s victory in Karnataka, Telangana’s BRS Party raided the premises. Today we will approach the police and ask as to why the raids were conducted and laptops and other materials were seized,” Congress VP Kiran Kumar Chamala.
“Police had raided our strategist’s office last year, too. It looks like the BRS is insecure. Congress condemns this. There is no democracy here,” he said.
In December, last year, the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police conducted a raid at the office of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) strategist Sunil Kanugolu and arrested three people for allegedly posting derogatory and objectionable comments against CM K Chandrashekar Rao on social media.
