By Anagha: Senior Congress leader G Parameshwara has expressed readiness in joining the race for the Karnataka CM post along with state Congress chief DK Shivakumar and former CM Siddaramaiah. He said if the party high command gave him the opportunity, he would accept it.
The former deputy CM Karnataka said, “I am someone who believes in the senior leaders of my party. I have some principles. Even I can bring 50 MLAs to my side and talk. But the party’s principles are more important to me. I have already said if high command gives me the opportunity, I will accept it.”

“I have not said I will not accept. Even the high command knows it. I have worked hard for the last 8 years and served as a deputy CM. They know it all. Why should I say all this again? I don’t have to lobby around and ask for it. This doesn’t mean I am incapable,” he added.
Implying that his actions speak louder, he said the top brass was aware of his work and service rendered for the party and that there was no need for him to lobby around for it.
