By Sujay Ghosh: West Bengal will be getting its second Vande Bharat train which is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 18. The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will arrive at Howrah after the inauguration.
It will also be the first Vande Bharat train for Odisha. The train will be operated under the southeastern division of the railways.
According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express.
According to railway sources, no update on the fare has been given on the IRCTC app. However, the tickets can be purchased from the app or website on Thursday after the inauguration. The chair car fare can be fixed at Rs 1590, and the fare for the executive chair can be around Rs 2900.
Every day, thousands of people go to Digha from Kolkata. Currently, the only premium train plying on this route is Shatabdi.
The train will stop at seven stations before reaching Puri from Howrah. The train will halt at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road.
