By Suryagni Roy: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee on Wednesday questioned the credibility of the central investigation agencies, claiming why no action is taken against leaders who joined the BJP.
Speaking at a Jan Sanjog Yatra rally in West Burdwan’s Pandebswar, Abhishek Banerjee alleged that the CBI was partisan in its attitude and did not act against accused leaders who joined Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP).

“CBI could do nothing in the Saradha case or Naradha case. The one who was seen taking money on camera, CBI is not doing anything against him because he has become their leader” said Abhishek Banerjee.
Furthermore, he also questioned the status of the various CBI investigation that were happening in West Bengal.
“What is the status of cases like Sarada, Narada and Rabindranath’s Nobel prize theft? There have been 24 CBI in the past 25 months. What is the creditability of CBI? In 17 years, CBI could not recover Rabindranath Tagore’s Nobel prize which was stolen. No update on the Gywaneshwari blast,” Abhishek Banerjee said.

On many occasions, BJP has linked Abhishek Banerjee with the coal pilferage scam. At Pandebswar, he slammed the saffron party citing that individuals associated with the coal mafia were being inducted into BJP.
“BJP which speaks of the Coal scam, the biggest coal mafia who was the MLA of Pandebswar was made the BJP candidate. Which party did Raju Jha join? BJP is a washing machine which changes from black to white. Anyone can commit a crime and join BJP to save himself. Coal Mafia Joydeb Khan was seen having coffee with Dilip Ghosh, visiting temples” he said.
