By Pramod Madhav: AIADMK Interim General Secretary Edapadi K Palanisamy (EPS) on Saturday refused to answer a question about his allied party’s state chief Annamalai, urging journalists to only ask about politically mature leaders.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader also said that he will soon release more videos of other state political parties’ scams. Annamalai on Friday, released ‘DMK Files’ alleging it to be a compilation of scams involving the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leaders.
EPS was asked if it was an indirect attack on AIADMK as Annamalai had earlier hinted about the Dravidian party involved in alleged electoral malpractice during Erode elections. To this, he refused to answer any question about Annamalai, terming him as being politically immature.

“Why do you talk about him? Only this way he (Annamalai) is growing. Let’s not talk about him,” EPS told the media.
He further added, “I’ve been in politics for nearly 50 years. I know what is happening. He only wants to give such interviews and become popular. Please don’t ask any questions about him.”
He further said, “Let’s talk about anything else because anyone in a party should know the basics. If you ask about such a person, I’ll reply. But, because of that comment, you are asking me 10 questions and leaders like me have come to the position to reply. So, henceforth please don’t ask. I urge journalists to ask me about mature politicians.”
