By Simer Chawla: Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Arun Maurya, the three men who shot and killed gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother, were shifted from Naini (Prayagraj) Central Jail to Pratapgarh District Jail on Monday.
The trio, who were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a district court on Sunday, were shifted to Pratapgarh jail over security reasons.
Police had intel that suggested that all three shooters were under threat of attack behind bars in high-security Naini jail. Hence, they were shifted to Pratapgarh this afternoon.

All three will be kept separately from other prisoners and their special monitoring will be done by jail officials.
Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Arun Maurya, who posed as journalists and carefully planned the murder, have confessed that they wanted to eliminate gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed to become famous in the world of crime.
