By Shibimol KG: Kerala Congress is set to host a mammoth youth conference in Kochi in May, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi scheduled to attend the event. The decision to hold the meeting comes as a counter to the Yuvam program organized by the BJP with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation.
KPCC President K Sudhakaran stated that this move is in response to the central and state government’s actions against the youth and farmers.
PM Modi is scheduled to take part in a massive roadshow organized by the state BJP in Kochi, followed by Yuvva, an interaction with young voters in the city.
K Sudhakaran said that the party has also formed a committee to conduct various activities, such as photo exhibitions and documentaries, to bring to light the BJP’s atrocities against minorities, including Christians and Dalits.
“The agenda of BJP and CPM to weaken Congress and UDF will be exposed in public. The unity between BJP and CPM is complete both in the state and at the centre. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was interrogated by the ED, but Modi’s investigative agencies have not touched Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is an accused in several cases,” K Sudhakaran said.
The conference is being held amid the BJP’s extensive outreach to Christian minorities in the state. The BJP leadership visited Christian homes and churches to celebrate Easter.
