A woman and an advocate were injured after a shooter, who was a suspended lawyer, fired shots at them in the Saket district court complex on Friday, police said.
According to DCP (South) Chandan Chowdhary, four to five rounds were fired on the court premises at 10:30 am. The woman, identified as M Radha, who was in her 40s, suffered two bullet injuries — one in the abdomen and one in the hand. She was rushed to Max hospital in Saket.
The accused had given Rs 25 lakhs to the woman. When the accused did not receive the money from the victim, he fired shots at her, injuring her in the process, and fled the spot. A hearing on the cheating case filed by the woman against the accused was scheduled for today in the Saket district court.
