By Rohit Kumar Singh: The terror attack in J&K’s Poonch on Thursday that killed five soldiers could be a conspiracy of the BJP government at the Centre ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, claimed RJD legislator Bhai Virendra, triggering a massive controversy.
The MLA from Lalu Yadav’s party drew parallels between the attacks in Poonch and Pulwama in 2019 and said that both the incidents were similar in nature.
“The 2024 elections are about to come and the Pooch incident is very similar to the Pulwama attack and it appears that it could be a conspiracy of the central government. The incident that happened in Poonch was unfortunate and now the central government should come out with an answer as to what is the reason behind the attack,” Bhai Virendra said.

The BJP reacted to the RJD leader’s allegations and said that it was shameful for the saffron party to even react to such insensitive and controversial remarks.
“I pity the mindset of the RJD leaders. The RJD does not have a single word of condolence for the soldiers who have laid their lives in the line of duty but instead said that the Pulwama attack was staged by the Centre for votes. It is shameful for us to even react to such comments from RJD leaders. They can sell anything for power,” BJP leader Arvind Kumar Singh said.
