Actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away due to a heart attack on March 9 in Delhi where he was attending a Holi festival event. His last rites were performed in Mumbai after his body was brought back from Delhi. As the industry mourned the tragic passing of the celebrated actor, a recent event saw the presence of many celebrated stars including Anil Kapoor, and Anupam Kher among others who gathered on Kaushik’s birth anniversary.

As Anupam Kher was one of the closest friends of Satish Kaushik, he has also been providing support to the family in every way. The Mr India actor’s daughter Vanshika is 11 years old and she recently shared a video of herself dancing with Anupam Kher. She often used to post adorable Instagram reels with her father. Anupam Kher wrote in Hindi, “Kal Vanshika ne mere saath yeh pehla dance video banaya. Ek do rehearsal k baad usne bohut hi masumiyat se kaha ki uske papa #SatishKaushik mujhse kahi behtar dance karte the. Jo sach hai (Yesterday Vanshika made this first dance video with me! After a couple of rehearsals, she said very innocently that her father #SatishKaushik used to dance better than me. Which is true).”
He also wrote, “Par uska ek sentence kamaal ka tha. ‘Thank You Anupam uncle for trying! Love you!’ Love you too beta.” Vanshika also shared the video and wrote, “My first reel with one and only #Anupam uncle, he really needs to rehearse a little more, as compared to him papa was a better dancer, but thank u Anupam uncle for trying, love you.” Reacting to the post, Hrithik Roshan commented, “Haha sweet.”
Satish Kaushik and his wife Shashi Kaushik married in 1985. The couple had a son Sanu Kaushik who passed away in 1996. The couple welcomed their second child Vanshika, who was born through a surrogate in 2012.
