By Rohit Kumar Singh: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday hit back at state BJP President Samrat Chaudhary’s ‘mitti me mila denge’ (reducing to dust) remark, saying that the new generation of BJP leaders are ‘brainless’. Nitish Kumar, JDU’s de-facto leader, said that BJP honchos who were making such comments are ‘brainless’ and he does not want to comment on them.
“If he is saying that, tell him to do it. Those who use such words have no brains,” Bihar chief minister said.
On Saturday, Bihar BJP chief Samrat Chaudhary had warned that BJP leaders would reduce Nitish Kumar and his party to mud, drawing parallels to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s stern warning to mafias in the Assembly.
When lawyer Umesh Pal, a witness in the 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, was shot dead outside his home in Prayagraj in February this year, Yogi Adityanath had said in Assembly, “Iss House mein keh raha hoon (I am saying in this House). Iss mafia ko mitti me mila denge (Mafias will be reduced to dust).”
Umesh Pal was murdered was gangster-turned politician Atiq Ahmed and his aides, who was shot dead on April 15 in Prayagraj.

‘FREE TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT’
Hitting back at Samrat Chaudhary’s ‘mitti me mila denge’ remark, Nitish Kumar said, “Tell them to reduce me to dust. I never use such words or make such comments against anyone. BJP leaders making such comments are brainless and they are free to do whatever they want to do. The new generation of BJP leaders lack brains”, Nitish Kumar said.
He further said he was working towards opposition unity for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Nitish is likely to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on April 25 and said that he would comment only after the meeting.
“There is nothing to answer regarding the meeting right now. I am working towards forging opposition unity and I do not have any personal ambition. I am only working for the interest of the country. Some people today are hell bent on changing the history of the country. If the Opposition stays together, then the nation will also remain secure”, he said.
