By Pramod Madhav: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin on Sunday urged party cadres to get ready for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and has emphasised that a massive victory for their alliance is necessary to “save the nation”.
“We are waiting for the 2024 Parliament elections. We are in a situation where we [Opposition] need to win across entire India, and only then can we save the nation. I want you to keep that in mind,” Stalin said.
He urged the cadres to be prepared to “save India” and attain a massive victory for their alliance in the 2024 elections.

Speaking at a wedding event in Chennai, Stalin stated that the party has set a target to enroll one crore new individuals to the party and create booth committees as part of year-long celebrations of the birth centenary of late party president and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
Stalin also highlighted the challenges faced by Tamil Nadu due to severe economic crunch and the non-cooperation of the Union government.
However, he claimed that the DMK government will never stop fighting for the state’s rights and that Tamil Nadu has been performing well under his leadership, with him being named as the No 1 chief minister.
