By Pankaj Upadhyay: BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has charged former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray of misusing his official position as then CM of the state and raised doubts on the whereabouts of the file related to the alleged illegal bungalows of Uddhav Thackeray.
The senior BJP leader said that he is now in possession of the said file that had been missing for months and also demanded from the chief minister that an investigation be conducted on the same.
“This is about the lost file relating to 19 bungalows of Uddhav Thackeray and Rashmi Thackeray. It’s an 80-page file. Uddhav Thackeray didn’t just vanish the file, but also the bungalows. As the Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray himself ordered an inquiry into the bungalows on 15 January 2021 but cheated. The officials were asked to click pictures where no bungalows existed.” said Somaiya.
Somaiya further said that suspicion arose as the file was “lost” and is now found.
“Where was the file? At Bandra? Or was it destroyed by the seven officers whose signatures were in the file? We demand a thorough investigation of the officers involved in Uddhav Thackeray’s “Bungalow Heist,” said Somaiya.
Somaiya further said that Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has been using threatening language against him and that there have been three attempts on his life before, as he has been exposing corruption cases.
“Now Sanjay Raut threatens to catch me by my collar. Raut is scared that the investigative agencies will find out where the proceeds of covid scam have gone. Either to Bandra (Matoshree) or Bhandup (Raut’s house). I have apprised the police commissioner of the same,” said Somaiya.
