By India Today News Desk: Indore Lokayukta police raided the premises of a villager registrar in Khargone of Madhya Pradesh in connection with disproportionate assets and seized properties worth crores. The local account keeper (patwari) has been identified as Jitendra Solanki.
The Lokayukta team found Rs 4 lakh cash, gold and silver jewellery, 6 shops in Indore, flats, shops in Khargone and houses worth crores at two places, four wheelers, shops in 3 villages and agricultural land. The team is currently investigating the matter.
According to the information, Indore Lokayukta raided four places, including Jitendra Solanki’s house in Gauridham for disproportionate assets.
During this preliminary investigation, Rs 3 to 4 lakh cash, jewellery, 6 shops in Indore, a flat in Indore, a shop in Radha Vallabh Market in Khargone, a three-storey house in Ishwari Nagar, a four-wheeler were found to be on Solanki’s name. He was found to be the owner of a shop in Goganwa, along with agricultural land in Multhan and Moghan.
This action was taken under the leadership of Indore Lokayukta DSP Santosh Bhadoria and Praveen Baghel. A 22-member team raided four places simultaneously after receiving information about disproportionate assets. The team started action from 3 pm on Thursday at Patwari Jitendra Solanki’s bases located in Goganwa tehsil.
It is being told that Solanki acquired all this wealth in his 26 years of service till now. Lokayukta Police Indore had received concrete information about this, after which action was taken simultaneously. The team is currently collecting property data.
Lokayukta Police Indore DSP Praveen Singh Baghel said that Jitendra Solanki is Patwari of Halka No. 36. A lot of property has been found in the preliminary investigation and a search is underway in the case. There is a possibility of getting property worth crores. Bank accounts and lockers are yet to be checked.
