By Ram Kinkar Singh: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has expressed solidarity with the wrestlers protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment. Supporting their demand, SKM also called for the immediate arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

“A full delegation of SKM leaders visited the protest site, met the sportspersons and conveyed the support of SKM to them,” the farmers’ union said in a statement.

SKM TO LAUNCH FRESH PROTESTS

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha said it will launch another protest in support of its demands, including a law on minimum support price (MSP), debt waiver and pension.

The farmers’ body said that the protests will held in all states across India from May 26 to May 31.

“In the months of May, June and July, state and district level conventions of the SKM shall be held in every state of India to galvanise and organise farmers and farmworkers,” the farmers’ union said.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha plans to hold mass protests in coordination with workers’ unions and organisations between August 1 to August 15.

Apart from this, the SKM will also hold yatras across the country between September to November.

“The yatras will specially focus on states that will see assembly elections, such as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana etc,” the SKM said.
