By India Today News Desk: A student was killed and four others were injured after a minor learning to drive a car rammed into an e-rickshaw carrying school children in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Monday. The accident took place in the Kohna area of Kanpur.
According to eyewitnesses, the car was being driven by a minor when it collided with an e-rickshaw, causing a violent collision. All the injured children were immediately rushed to the hospital, where one of them studying in Class 4 succumbed to injuries.
The driver of the car was caught by the public at the scene of the accident. The car was being supervised by a person who was sitting beside the driver on the passenger seat.
The car involved in the accident belonged to a man named Bharat. Speaking on the incident, DCP Pramod Kumar said that the car collided with an e-rickshaw when the minor was learning to drive. He assured legal action against the accused.
