By Pankaj Jain: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha listed amounts spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence and plane and said that the debate should be held in every perspective. This came after a letter was sent by Delhi minister Atishi to the Lieutenant Governor over the renovations at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home.
A residence, worth Rs 500 crore, is being built for the prime minister to live in, a luxurious plane worth Rs 8,400 crore has been bought and Rs 10 crore was spent for an hour on a programme of the IIT in Karnataka, Chadha alleged.
The BJP has accused the Delhi government of spending Rs 45 crore on the renovation of Arvind Kejriwal’s residence during the Covid pandemic and began an indefinite dharna today.

“I would like to tell the BJP and the LG that Arvind Kejriwal is Delhi’s son. He is engaged in the service of Delhi. The people of Delhi will take revenge on the BJP for throwing mud at Arvind Kejriwal. The public will demand an answer from the BJP as to why the PM bought a plane worth Rs 8,400 crore. The BJP should answer on these expenses,” Raghav Chadha said.
On the BJP MPs’ dharna against the renovation of Kejriwal’s bungalow, Raghav Chadha said that the BJP should continue with the dharna. “I want to tell the BJP that the people of this country are demanding an account of the money spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s house and the purchase of a plane worth Rs 8,400 crore. The BJP should first answer about these expenses,” he said.
The AAP also alleged that Rs 15 crore was spent on the maintenance of the L-G House. Reacting to this, Chadha said, “Let’s see whether the L-G opens his door to the media. If the media gets an entry, I will also follow.”
