By India Today News Desk: Notorious gangster Tillu Tajpuriya, who was an accused in Delhi’s Rohini court shootout in 2021, died in Mandoli jail on Tuesday morning after he was attacked by a group of rival gang members with an iron rod and stabbed with a ‘sua’ 40 times, according to Tihar jail sources. A ‘sua’ is a big needle often used to break slabs of ice.

According to jail officials, Tillu’s killing was believed to be revenge for the murder of gangster Jitendra Gogi. Four gangsters, who were a part of Gogi’s gang, were lodged on the first floor of Jail Number-9.

To carry out the murder, the gangsters cut the iron grill of their cell and jumped to the ground floor with the help of a sheet.

They then killed Tillu, who was lodged in a high-security prison.
