By India Today News Desk: Mumbai’s Dabbawalas are thrilled as the coronation ceremony of King Charles III, alongside the Queen Consort, is scheduled to take place in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
Gearing up for the ceremony, Mumbai’s Dabbawalas have purchased Puneri turbans and shawls of the Warkari community as gifts for King Charles’s coronation day. They have also claimed to have received an invitation to attend the coronation of King Charles III by the British Consulate.

The Mumbai Dabbawala Association has had a close relationship with the British royal family since Prince Charles visited India. Last year, when Queen Elizabeth II passed away, all the dabbawalas held a prayer meeting in Mumbai to pray for her soul’s peace.
