By Apoorva Jayachandran : Hyderabad Police has arrested a local BJP worker for waving a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse during a Ram Navami rally organized by suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh at Goshamahal in Hyderabad.
Shahinayathgunj Police booked the BJP worker under Sections 502 (2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred, or ill-will between classes) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code and arrested him.

The BJP worker was identified as Chinta Hema Kumar (21), an Industrial Training Institute Technician and a resident of Sree Laxmi Men’s PG Hostel at Siddiq Nagar in Gachibowli.
Police said Kumar was a native of Valluri Vari Street at Bandaru Lanka in Andhra Pradesh’s Amalapuram.

Police said on March 30, when the Ram Navami procession conducted by T Raja Singh reached Chudi Bazar, the accused waved the Godse photos.
