Abhishek Banerjee has won hearts with his versatile performances in films and web series. The actor is next going to be seen in Section 84 along with his all-time favourite actor and inspiration Amitabh Bachchan. He recently talked about how growing up people called him ‘Bachchan’.
Abhishek Banerjee opens up on his excitement on working with Amitabh Bachchan in Section 84, says, “Growing up, I used to copy Bachchan sir a lot”
Talking about the same, Abhishek said, “Growing up, I used to copy Bachchan sir a lot. People still call me ‘Bachchan’. I still have a t-shirt printed with Small B, Medium B and Big B. And the best part is, I’m working with the legend in Section 84. It feels surreal to share the screen with him. The Bachchan mania is peaking at another level now! And, to sum up, always remember, ‘Tu beer hai! I guess you got the point!”
Later, Banerjee also added “My acting journey also started similar to my idol, Amitabh Bachan Sir. Now, I guess you know where it began. Kirori Mal College, Delhi University.”
Earlier, sharing the news and his reaction at getting a chance to work with Bachchan, Banerjee said in an Instagram post, “Section 84 is my moment of EKLAVYA meeting his DRONACHARYA .. for me when I knew nothing about acting. I knew only one name AMITABH BACCHAN, from a boy who used to be hypnotised by him to be actually getting an opportunity to stand alongside him in one frame, life truly has become a full circle for me with this film …. This is what dreams are made of, Bacchan mania continues. This time I am going to be a part of it in front of camera!! Thank you thank you Ribhu sir. You have no idea how much my younger self is jumping with joy to be on your set and experience the mania. I think we all hv been struck by for years now!”
The courtroom drama thriller is written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta of Te3n and The Girl On The Train fame. Section 84 is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment and Film Hangar.
Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Banerjee, the film also features Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur.
Apart from this, Abhishek Banerjee was last seen in Rana Naidu as Jaffa. He will be next seen in Dream Girl 2, Stree 2, and Bhediya 2 amongst others.
