The Kerala Story actress Adah Sharma expressed her gratitude to the viewers who supported the movie and helped it become popular. On Wednesday, she used Twitter to express her gratitude to everyone who enjoyed her performance.

In a saffron outfit and a garland around her neck, Adah uploaded a photo of herself from the film. She wrote in caption, “Thank you to all the crores of you who are going to watch our film, thank you for making it trend, thank you for loving my performance. This weekend the 12th #TheKeralaStory releases internationally in 37 countries (or more) (red heart emojis) #adahsharma.”

Earlier, she had tweeted, “And for the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims…my humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides…maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real.”

With Adah Sharma playing the role of Shalini Unnikrishnan, The Kerala Story is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film portrays the story of young South Indian girls who are manipulated into converting their religion and are forcibly made to join the ISIS. While the film is said to be based on true events, a lot of allegations are being made against the film because of its story. The film released in India last week, on May 5, 2023.
The film has entered the Rs. 50 Crore Club in quick time with the overall score reading as Rs. 56.86 crores after 5 days. This makes it an average of over Rs. 11 crores per day, which is tremendous. The first week will surely close at over Rs. 75 crores and then the Rs. 100 Crore Club entry will happen by the close of second weekend.
