Adarsh Gourav, known for his roles in My Name Is Khan and Mom, continues to make waves in the film industry. Despite receiving international acclaim and nominations for prestigious awards, Adarsh reflects on the mixed response from Indian viewers towards The White Tiger. He candidly discussed the impact of the Netflix original on his career and shared insights into his life post the film’s release.
Adarsh Gourav shares a humble perspective on The White Tiger’s success; says, “I can’t sit and gloat about one performance”
In an interview with Indian Express, Adarsh explained, “The nature of current times is such that there is so much content and there are so many amazing actors and so many amazing performers. It is not a time anymore that you sit and gloat about one performance for a very long time because then there is somebody else who comes and does something even more amazing next week. That’s the way it should be.
The young actor further added, “I feel like when people are constantly trying to make something that’s good and something that’s authentic and original, as far as the intent is right. It is a very healthy sort of comparative space to be in. I think at the end of it, all of us want to be part of great shows and great stories.
Besides The White Tiger, Adarsh also spoke about his upcoming film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, which will also star Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. He asserted, “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, we just finished dubbing for it, so it should be released in the next three or four months, September – October. I am very excited about it. I am so happy to have worked with Ananya and Siddhant. Both of them are absolute sweethearts and are really solid actors but also amazing people to work with, very giving people to work with.”
Written and directed by Arjun Varain Singh, the upcoming flick is jointly produced under the production banners of Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani and Zoya Akhtar-Reema Kagti.
