Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome starrer The Night Manager was loved by fans, critics and the film fraternity for its binge worthy content. In a recent interview, Anil Kapoor spoke about his character in the series.

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anil Kapoor spoke about what factors helped him adapt his character Shelly Rungta in The Night Manager. He said, “The writing is there, the book was great, the original show was terrific, so you are inspired by both of them. It makes your job easier and then of course there was Shridhar (Shridhar Raghavan), Sandeep Modi and his entire team who put it together and presented to me and then we had a narration of the Indian adaptation. It was terrific. You don’t feel it was like a copy or something. It felt like it was something which they made of their own.”
Further talking about his character in much anticipated season 2, Anil said, “I think it will be more darker. He (Anil’s character) is cornered from every angle but still he does not want to give up.”
“I think it is quite fun if you watch it. I enjoyed doing it coming towards the end of this character,” said Anil.
Disney+Hotstar had announced the date of Hotstar Specials’ The Night Manager: Part 2, which will be releasing on June 30, 2023. The first part saw the clash between Shelly Rungta (Anil Kapoor) and Shaan Sengupta (Aditya Roy Kapur) that left the fans wondering what next? A Hindi-language adaptation of John le Carré’s novel The Night Manager, this series is created and directed by Sandeep Modi and second director Priyanka Ghosh. The Night Manager: Part 2 will unlock new doors of mystery along with a journey full of more twists, turns and thrill.
