In a recent development, renowned screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad had the opportunity to watch the first edit of Kangana Ranaut’s highly anticipated film, Emergency. Excitement surrounded the project as Ranaut took to her Instagram handle to share a glimpse of her meeting with Vijayendra Prasad. In the photo posted on her Instagram story section, Ranaut and the legendary screenwriter can be seen engrossed in conversation.

What caught the attention of fans was Ranaut’s caption, where she mentioned Vijayendra Prasad’s reaction to the film. She wrote, “After complete edit is done first person to watch #emergency Not only Vijendra sir wiped his eyes several times while watching the edit but after watching it he said …. “I am so proud of you my child”… well my life is made.”
Additionally, Ranaut also revealed that the post-production work for Emergency has commenced. The Queen actress caption read, “With all my Guru’s and well wishers blessings film Emergency is ready to get into postproduction stage … Release date announcement coming soon.” This update suggests that the film is progressing steadily towards its completion, generating further anticipation among moviegoers.
Directed and produced by Ranaut herself, the film delves into the tumultuous period of the 1977 Indian Emergency. The ensemble star cast of the film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman, and late actor Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. The film was earlier scheduled to release on October 20, however, to avoid a clash with Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, Ranaut decided to reschedule Emergency’s release.
