Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the day has come when ambulance will be available not only for humans but also for treatment of Gau-mata and other animals. A veterinarian and assistants will be available in the ambulance. Toll free No 1962 has been issued for the treatment of animals in emergency. Taking a sick animal to the hospital was a big problem. Now with the arrival of these ambulances, the veterinary hospital itself will be available at the door of the cattle rearer. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated the Gau-raksha Sankalp Sammelan (Cow-Protection Resolution Conference) at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal and flagged off 406 veterinary ambulances for urban areas and all development blocks of the state. CM Shri Chouhan performed cow-worship as soon as he reached the conference venue and worshipped the calf Radhija as a symbol of worship of all cow-wealth. He inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Nationalist philosopher, thinker Shri Murlidhar Rao, Khajuraho MP Shri VD Sharma, Bhopal MP Sushri Pragya Thakur, Madhya Pradesh Gau-Samvardhan Board Chairman Swami Akhileshwaranand Giri were present along with people’s representatives.
Now ambulances will also be available for treatment of animals: CM Shri Chouhan
Vehicles involved in illegal transportation of cattle will be seized
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the slaughter of cow progeny has been banned in the state. There is a provision of imprisonment for 7 years for those killing cow and imprisonment for illegal transportation. Vehicles involved in illegal transportation of cattle will be confiscated. Cow is necessary for natural farming. Ghanamrit and Jeevamrit are made from cow urine and cow dung. Rs. 900 per month will be given to the farmers doing natural farming for rearing cows. The installment of the scheme will be issued to 22 thousand farmers this month. Tribal brothers and sisters will be provided 90 percent subsidy on buying cows for cow rearing. The state government is also making efforts to make the business of cow dung, cow urine and other cow products profitable. Work is going on in Jabalpur on the project of making CNG from cow dung. Arrangements will be made to buy cow dung by setting up Govardhan plants at different places in the state, through which CNG will be produced.
Will encourage the use of natural paint made in Gau-shalas
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a policy will be made to use natural paint made in Gau-shalas (cowsheds) in Panchayat level government buildings in rural areas. This will encourage the business of cow dung and cow urine. Eight Gau-Sadans and two Gau-Vansh Vanya Vihar will be developed in the state. The responsibility of their operation will be handed over to the Gau-Sevak Sanstha. A suitable policy will be made to ensure that registered cow shelters do not face the problem of electricity bill and this does not create any hindrance in the service of mother cow. The amount will be re-fixed for adequate arrangement of straw in cow shades. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed to the farmer brothers to cooperate in arranging straw by not burning Narwai.
Additional collectors will manage cow shelters in the districts
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that instead of gaushalas in every Gram Panchayat in the state, the State Government is also considering developing big gaushalas. A big gaushala will be developed for 4 to 5 gram panchayats, which will make their management also easier. Primarily, such gaushalas will be developed as models at some places in the state. Any organization can take the responsibility of the arrangements of these gaushalas and the organization will be provided financial assistance by the state government. The gaushalas with which the lands are attached and there are encroachments on it, they will be made encroachment free immediately. Consideration will also be given to give the status of Kanji House to gaushalas. Gauvansh will also be counted. For quick resolution of the problems of gaushalas and their better management, the responsibility will be assigned to the Additional Collector level officer at the district level.
Gaushalas should become self-sufficient
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed that every gaushala in the state should become self-sufficient. At least the wood should be burnt in the cremation grounds and the gau-kashth made from cow dung should be used more. In addition to milk, cow dung, cow urine, cow ash etc. should become a means of additional income for the animal rearing farmers. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also called upon to adopt natural farming, not to burn stubble in the fields, and make regular contribution to Gau-grass. The Chief Minister said that we all have to worry that the gau-vansh do not roam on the roads as vagrants and destitutes.
The basis of our culture is to consider cow as mata
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that God is present in even the tiniest particle of the universe. Dashavatar symbolizes that God resides in all beings. It is the basis of our culture to consider cow as mother. Lord Krishna worshiped Govardhan and gave us the message of nature worship. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has established the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ of Indian thought and philosophy in the whole world.
Administered oath for cow rearing and cow protection
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan administered the oath for cow-rearing and cow-protection to the people of the state at the Gau-raksha Sammelan. He called upon to play a positive role in this pious work and running of ga-ushalas. While remembering the holy cow, we must take a pledge to serve the cow by taking out gau-grass or its equivalent amount every day before meals for cow protection. Inspire your family as well as the society in this work.
Madhya Pradesh’s initiative for gau-raksha and gau-seva is commendable and exemplary
Nationalist thinker and philosopher Shri Murlidhar Rao said that the initiative being taken by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for gau-raksha and gau-seva in the state is commendable. This will have a positive impact on agriculture, rural economy and the country’s economy. Cow is the focal point of our culture and rural economy. Gau-raksha is in line with the Indian Constitution. Madhya Pradesh’s initiative for cow protection and cow service is commendable and exemplary. Cow-promotion will also prove helpful in creating employment opportunities for women. Member of Parliament Shri V.D. Sharma said that the initiative of introducing ambulance for gau-seva in Madhya Pradesh is exemplary. Works for gau-raksha will be given more speed in the state.
People’s representatives including Vice President of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Shri Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Vishnu Khatri, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry and Dairy Shri Gulshan Bamra were present. In the conference, representatives of government departments working for gauraksha and promotion, voluntary organizations, individuals and organizations working in the field of environment and organic and natural agriculture, gau-shala operators, self-help groups and social workers engaged in conservation of cows also joined.
