Following speculations around their relationship, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra got engaged to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha on May 13 in New Delhi. After their engagement, Parineeti Chopra now shared a new set of photos from her ceremony.

Taking to her social media, the actress wrote, “ARDAAS • Felt surreal to be blessed by the one and only, Jathedar of the Akal Takht Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh Ji. His sacred presence at our engagement meant everything to us.” In pictures, the actress and the politician were seated next to each other. Behind them were their parents. In one of the photos, her father was seen wiping away his tears.
A few days ago, Parineeti Chopra released a joint statement in which she said, “Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it’s amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined.”
She continued, “We are so touched by everything we have read/ seen, and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us. Love Parineeti & Raghav.”
On the work front, Parineeti Chopra will next star in Akshay Kumar-led Capsule Gill. She also has Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh.
