Two days after the gangster was stabbed to death by four rival gang members inside the jail, India Today accessed the footage which showed how the gruesome attack was executed. In the video, the attackers are seen sliding down bedsheets hung from the first floor and barging into Tajpuriya’s cell on the ground floor to attack him.
The first attacker climbed down around 6:10 am with the rest following him.
Tajpuriya, in a red T-shirt and black shorts, who was coming from the other side, rushes inside a cell as soon as he spots the first attacker. He then pulls the iron door to shut it.
All the attackers, by now, are on the ground floor and three of them are outside Tajpuriya’s cell. One of them tries to stop the fourth attacker. Since the door can’t be locked from inside, the attackers barge in and pull Tajpuriya outside. They drag him to the common area and stab him repeatedly.

Some people are seen trying to stop the attackers. One of them, dressed in white, has been identified as gangster Manjeet Mahal, the police said.
The attackers keep stabbing Tajpuriya with sharp weapons until their hands are drenched in blood. The attack lasted two minutes.
Tajpuriya was killed early Tuesday allegedly by four members of the rival Gogi gang – Deepak alias Titar, Yogesh alias Tunda, Rajesh, and Riyaz Khan – who stabbed him “92 times”. The four attackers, lodged on the first floor of the prison, cut the iron grilles and used bed sheets to climb down.
Tajpuriya has been in Tihar Jail since 2016. He was accused in the 2021 Rohini court shootout, in which gangster Jitender Gogi was killed, following which there was a threat to his life.
