Abhishek Banerjee meets tribal women who performed dandavat parikrama for TMC leader

By Suryagni Roy: Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, continuing his Jana Sanjog Yatra, met the three tribal women who were seen performing dandavat parikarma or crawling in front of a TMC leader before joining the party in Balurghat. These women were asked to crawl before a TMC leader as a form of penance and were allegedly forced to rejoin the ruling party in Balurghat in the North Dinajpur district.

This was claimed by the BJP state president who had tweeted the video of the 3 women crawling.

Pradipta Chakraborty, the female leader in whose presence the entire act had happened almost a month back, was sacked from the post of the vice chairperson of Balurghat municipality, on the day Abhishek Banerjee met the tribal women.

Pradipta Chakraborty was the TMC leader who was removed from her post of Mahila district president of Dakshin Dinajpur, on the tribal woman dandwat or crawling issue.
