The three assailants of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were sent to 14-days’ judicial custody on Sunday. The shooters, identified as Arun Maurya, Sunny Singh and Lavlesh Tiwari, killed Atiq and his brother last night when they were being taken for a medical test. The assailants used Zigana pistols (a semi-automatic pistol produced by a Turkish firm) to eliminate both the deceased. The shooters fired over a dozen rounds in just 22 seconds in the presence of a police team.
