Bhiwani murders: Two accused of killing Nasir and Junaid arrested from Uttarakhand

By Jaykishan Sharma: Rajasthan Police on Monday arrested Monu Rana and Monu alias Gogi, accused in the Bhiwani murders case. The accused, who had been absconding for the last two months, were arrested from Uttarakhand.

In February, two burnt bodies were found in a Bolero in Haryana’s Bhiwani and family members of two men missing from Bharatpur in Rajasthan claimed that they had been abducted by cow vigilantes associated with the Bajrang Dal. Police said one of the people missing was involved in cow-smuggling cases.

Nasir (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35), both residents of Ghatmeeka village in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, were allegedly abducted and their bodies were found in a charred Bolero in Loharu in Bhiwani the next morning.

One of the deceased, Junaid, had a past criminal record of bovine smuggling. Five cases were registered against him at different police stations, as per police.

IG Gaurav Srivastava said “Ismail Mev, a resident of Ghatmika village, had lodged a report of the kidnapping of Junaid and Nasir at the Gopalgarh police station. The miscreants had abducted both the youths along with a Bolero. Both the youths were burnt to death along with the Bolero in the Luharu police station area of Haryana’s ​​Bhiwani.”
