The voting for the first phase of urban local body elections began in Uttar Pradesh on May 4 at 7 am. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was among the first ones to cast his vote.
In the video that went viral, people can be seen dragging a huge container on the narrow street of Meerut. Biryani was being served in the area, apparently near a poll booth. A group of 4-5 men grabbed the degchi (big container) of biryani and ran away with it.
The police were informed of the incident and an investigation is underway.
