BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd is an India-Russian joint venture, responsible for producing supersonic cruise missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or land platforms, a PTI report said.
India also exports the BrahMos missiles, that fly at a speed of 2.8 Mach or almost three times the speed of sound, the news report further added. The location of the test-firing of the missile is unclear.
Notably, India sealed a $375 million deal with Philippines for supplying three batteries of the missile in January last year.
