By Pramod Madhav: Andhra Pradesh tourism minister RK Roja hit out at Rajinikanth, stating he should not talk about politics if he chose to stay away from it. Actress-turned-politician Roja visited Puducherry to participate in the Pushkarani festival at Thirukanchi Gangai Varadharaju Nadheeswarar temple, which is held once in 12 years.
Speaking about Rajinikanth praising Chandra Babu Naidu during the centenary celebrations of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Roja said, “When Rajinikanth decided to stay away from politics, he shouldn’t talk politics. NTR is an artist like us. He was seen as God. If you want to see Krishna, we saw him in NTR. So Rajinikanth knows how he was killed and how his party was taken away.”

“Telugu people considered Rajinikanth a superstar but after his speech, these people and NTR sympathisers are all angry as he praised Chandra Babu Naidu who attempted to kill NTR. It was wrong of him to say that NTR would bless him from heaven,” stated Minister Roja.
She also questioned why Rajinikanth should comment on politics when he has opted out of it.
“We used to imagine Rajinikanth at a large level but now he has turned into a zero”, slammed Minister Roja and urged artists who visit another state to know about the politics of the State before they wish to comment.
“I’m not going to ask for his apology because he’s not going to enter politics nor going to visit Andhra Pradesh much. Knowingly or unknowingly, he has spoken, so maybe he should release a statement on it for his benefit”, stated Minister Roja.
