By India Today News Desk: A ‘romantic’ act flaunted on social media landed a man in police custody in Chhattisgarh. The police nabbed a man who had posted a video of him riding a scooty with his girlfriend sitting on his lap and asked him to make an apology video on social media, saying he would never do such activities in future.
The incident took place in Bilaspur on Wednesday night at around 2 am. The man was seen roaming on the streets with his girlfriend on a scooty, flouting traffic rules.

According to sources, the police were not present at the patrolling points. They only took note of the incident when the video went viral on social media.
On Thursday, Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Sahu said, “We came across a video on social media where a young man was seen romancing his girlfriend on a scooty at the Imlipara Road in the Civil Line area.
“We immediately traced the vehicle number and gathered the owner’s information. He was then asked to come to the police station for interrogation,” the DSP said.
During the interrogation, the man revealed the scooty was being ridden by his friend, Harsh Tiwari. Harsh was then called to the police station, said Sanjay Kumar Sahu.

Nineteen-year-old Harsh is a resident of Kawardha and lives in a rented house in Chharisgarh’s Tikrapara. During his interrogation, he said he is a college student and is preparing for competitive exams. He was detained under the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, and the traffic police issued a challan of Rs 8,800 against him.
During the probe, the police didn’t summon his lady friend for questioning.
