By Sumi Rajappan: Following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant significant relief to the Chhattisgarh government, halting the High Court’s ruling that deemed the state government’s allocation of 58 per cent reservation as ‘unconstitutional,’ Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel appears to be actively seeking new recruits.
Following Surpeme Court’s order, it seems that aspiring candidates who were caught in the crossfire between the Chhattisgarh High Court and the state government now have a newfound opportunity.
The Chhattisgarh Police has announced the dates for the main written examination for direct recruitment to 975 vacant posts. The posts include that of Subedar, Sub-Inspector (SI) Cadre and Platoon Commander.
The main written examination for these posts will be conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board on May 26, 27 and 29, according to the Chhattisgarh Police’s website.
The exam for proficiency in Hindi and English language will take place from 8:00 am to 10:15 am on May 26. The General Knowledge and General Studies exam will be held on the same day from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.
On May 27, the Aptitude test will be held from 8:00 am to 10:15 am and Science (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm.
The Computer science exam will be held on May 29 from 8:00 am to 10:15 am. Further details will be available on Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board’s website.

The information about the examination centre will be given separately by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
Admit cards for the examination can be downloaded from Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board’s website from 10 am on May 18.
