The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against 6 people in the 2022 Coimbatore car bomb blast case. The chargesheet revealed that bomber Mubeen was inspired by ISIS ideology to carry out this attack. The chargesheet further stated he was inspired by Zahran Hashim, who masterminded the Easter serial suicide bomb attacks in 2019 in Sri Lanka and Mubeen wanted to carry out a similar kind of attack against so-called kafirs in India.
