By Himanshu Mishra: Former Union Minister RCP Singh, who quit the Janata Dal United (JDU) after the party sought an explanation on allegations of corruption levelled against him, is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. RCP Singh is set to join the BJP in New Delhi at 12.30 noon.

RCP Singh had quit the JDU after the party sent him a notice over corruption allegations. Following his resignation, RCP Singh called JDU “a sinking ship”.

The party workers alleged that “huge property” has been amassed between 2013 and 2022 in the name of Singh and his family members.
