By India Today News Desk: These days the rumours of a ghost walking the corridors of a hostel of Government Medical College in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund have spooked the students.
The students claim that they hear the sound of a girl laughing in the hostel but when they come out of their rooms, they can’t find anyone.
Recently, a police team also reached the hostel to carry out an investigation and even in their presence, there were laughter sounds laughter, but they could not find the source of that sound.

54 students reside in this boys’ hostel. When the boys started hearing sounds, there were only 5-6 boys in the hostel as the others went home for the summer break.
In this regard, the medical college dean, Yasmin Khan, said these are just rumours. “When I came to know about this incident, I spoke to Mahasamund Superintendent of Police and gave him the complete information. The students have gone home for holidays. This has been done by some mischievous person.”
Additional Superintendent of Police of Mahasamund district, Akash Rao said that when we received information about this, our police team went to the hostel. There were only 5-6 students on the premises from where the sound was coming from. However, there was also a TV and a speaker in that room which could have been connected via Bluetooth.”
