By Suryagni Roy: Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee continued his Jana Sanjog Yatra and reached Itahar, Uttar Dinajpur on Monday. As he addressed a gathering at the end of the day, he attacked the Congress for their stand in Bengal.
Slamming the Congress, Abhishek Banerjee stated that it was only Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress who were able to put a brake on the BJP in the state.
“After Congress won in Himachal, BJP-led Centre didn’t reduce prices of LPG, cooking oil. However, when the BJP lost in Bengal, they were forced to slash the prices of LPG, cooking oil. That’s the difference and people should vote keeping their priorities and basic needs in mind,” said Abhishek Banerjee.
Furthermore, he slammed Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for taking on the TMC when their leaders are summoned or arrested by central agencies but questioning the agencies when Congress leaders are summoned.
“In Bengal, the BJP is being helped by the Congress. In Bengal, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury says ED is doing a good job in Bengal, and ED does a wrong thing in Delhi. Whom is he strengthening?” said Abhishek Banerjee.
