By Sagay Raj: The Congress’s Karnataka chief, DK Shivakumar, offered prayers to a ‘gas cylinder’, reminding voters about the price rise, this evening, with only hours left for the state to vote for a new legislative assembly.
The cylinder, placed on a table, was garlanded and offered fruits, including coconut and bananas. Shivakumar lit camphor before the cylinder before performing aarti and bowing before it.
Shivakumar asked the people to remember when Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “See the cylinder before you go to vote.” “I am only asking people to follow the same,” Shivakumar said.
