By Apoorva Jayachandran : Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday inaugurated a new party office in New Delhi’s Vasant Vihar.
In a bid to go national, KCR changed the party’s name from Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi last year. Now, the new party office will be the centre of BRS’s expansion plans.
The inauguration was done amid chanting of Vedic hymns. KCR unfurled the national flag on the office premises and occupied the seat of party chief and signed off on a few documents.
Speaker of the Telangana Assembly Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, BRS Parliamentary Party leader K Keshav Rao, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao and several other party leaders were present at the inauguration.
