By Satender Chauhan: Several leaders of Punjab’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that they were barred from entering Delhi on Sunday as the party chief Arvind Kejriwal appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning in the excise policy case. The AAP leaders held demonstrations at Delhi’s Singhu border.
The AAP leaders in Punjab claimed that ministers Bram Shanker Jimpa, Dr Balbir Singh and Harjot Singh Bains, and MLAs Dinesh Chadha and Kuljit Randhawa were among those who were stopped at the border and not allowed to enter the national capital.
Taking to Twitter, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains asked whether they cannot even enter their country’s capital.
Delhi Police is not allowing my car to enter Delhi, added Harjot Bains.

Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said democracy was being “murdered” in the country.
“Democracy is being murdered in our country. The constitution and the supreme court give us the right to move freely in our country & to protest peacefully. Neither is being allowed. Many of my cabinet colleagues, MLAs and volunteers have been illegally detained at badli. Shame!”, tweeted Balbir Singh.
DELHI AAP CONVENES EMERGENCY MEET
As the CBI questioned Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy scam, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Delhi convenor Gopal Rai called an emergency meeting at the party office in Delhi.
AAP national secretary Pankaj Gupta, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi and Deputy Mayor Aaley Mohammad Iqbal are among those who are attending the meeting. All office bearers, district presidents, national secretaries and party leaders have also been asked to attend the meeting.
